MRCS marked its 75th anniversary through a mascot design competition, a national short video contest, and a youth dialogue session with the Minister of Youth and Sports.

September 2023
Mascot Design Competition
Over 174 entries across primary, secondary and open categories. Winner Alya Binti Mohamad Zamin Nizam's design — Andoh, shaped from a triangular bandage — became MRCS's first official mascot.

Oct – Dec 2023
Short Video Competition
Themed "A Day in My Life as MRC Volunteer." 102+ entries across 3 categories judged on theme, creativity, production quality, and social media popularity. Winners received e-wallet credits and MRC merchandise.

Youth Town Hall with Ministry
300 youth including 160 MRC members joined a dialogue with YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, on SDGs and MRCS youth's role in national development. Included a carnival with IHL, first aid, disaster preparedness, mental health, and climate action activities.
